What is Rolfing?

Rolfing restores healthy functioning in the body and returns it to a more youthful, dynamic state. Over a series of ten 90-minute sessions, each part of the body is addressed and brought into alignment with the other parts to create a healthier, freer, more vibrant whole. Benefits include improved posture, greater flexibility, increased stamina, a heightened sense of well-being, and the resolution of chronic aches and pains. What’s more, these changes are very long lasting. Researchers at UCLA were still able to identify changes in the bodies of test subjects after five years with no additional work.

James has practiced in seven countries on three continents. After graduating from the University of Colorado with B.S. in Biology, he completed his Basic training under Dr. Ida P. Rolf in 1975 and his Advanced Training in 1982, repeating the Advanced course again in 2002. James has practiced in London, Paris, Geneva, Brussels, Italy, Hong Kong, Alaska, Hawaii and California. He helped establish the Rolf Institute in Munich, Germany and has been featured in magazines, newspapers, radio and TV shows. His clients include A-list Hollywood celebrities; Olympic and professional athletes; international dancers and concert musicians; Mount Everest summiteers and team physicians; and high-ranking European government and United Nations officials. James now practices in Laguna Niguel, California.
