What is Rolfing?

Rolfing is a manipulative therapy that frees bound and compromised tissues that have been building up in our bodies as a result of injuries, accidents, bad habits, and physical and emotional trauma.

Over a series of ten 90-minute sessions, each part of the body is addressed and brought into alignment with the other parts to create a freely moving, functional whole. The benefits of Rolfing include better posture, improved flexibility, increased stamina, and the resolution of chronic aches and pains. What’s more, these changes are very long-lasting. Researchers at UCLA could still identify changes in the bodies of Rolfing test subjects after five years with no additional work.
